Ann Auriat shows worms she uses for indoor composting, or vermicomposting, to Jan Ficht at the Hinton Municipal Library on April 17. The worms consume about half their wright each day, producing quality soil from discarded kitchen waste. The two led demonstrations on indoor and outdoor composting methods in the library’s Teck Coal Room.
